Frequently asked questions
What happens after the request.
Response times, useful information and how the first discussion works.
-
D.01
How long does it take to get a reply to a request?
Requests sent from the site are answered within 24 hours.
That reply is a first acknowledgement: the work is then assessed on its merits, according to the type of inspection requested and the site where it is to be carried out.
-
D.02
What information is needed to receive a quotation?
The fields in the form are enough: name, company, contact details and type of activity, with a description even if brief.
The technical details needed to define the attendance — extent, stage of the work, applicable specification, location — are asked for in the discussion that follows the first contact.
-
D.03
Can I speak to the inspector directly before awarding the assignment?
Yes. A preliminary, exploratory discussion is provided for, in which the project and the way the work would be carried out are set out before the assignment is awarded.
-
D.04
Are inspections carried out throughout Italy and abroad?
Yes. Work is carried out at shipyards, in the works and on plant, in Italy and abroad.
-
D.05
Is a first assessment possible from photographs of the damage?
A photograph is already useful: it allows the anomaly to be framed and the type of problem to be identified.
For a conclusive assessment direct site attendance remains preferable, because the defect has to be verified on the substrate and in the conditions in which it formed.
